BOLD, the Jacobs Foundation's global platform on the science of child learning and development, is launching a science communication fellowship for early-career researchers. Up to three Fellows spend six months, part-time and fully remote, learning to write and make videos for caregivers and educators, and publish at least three pieces on BOLD's website and social channels. Each Fellow receives a CHF 5,000 stipend. **What you get:** - A CHF 5,000 stipend, paid 50% at the start and 50% at the end once all tasks and milestones are complete - A writing workshop with BOLD's Editor-in-Chief - Training on editing your own work and your colleagues' - A monthly writing club with the BOLD team - Expert training on making science communication videos for social media and writing for general audiences - Your work published on BOLD's website and social media channels **What you'll do:** - Attend a virtual introduction in January 2027 - Give around six hours a month to content development and virtual training sessions - Produce at least three pieces of content (articles, interviews or videos, agreed with the Editor-in-Chief) **Key dates:** - Applications open 1 September 2026 - Applications close 31 October 2026 - Applications reviewed November 2026 - Fellows informed 1 December 2026 - Fellowship runs 4 January 2027 to 30 June 2027 **More information:** - Apply in English with a sample article or video (ideally up to 500 words or 3 minutes) explaining a scientific concept for caregivers, a statement of up to 500 words on why you want the Fellowship, and your CV including any science communication experience - Applications are reviewed by Annie Brookman-Byrne (Editor-in-Chief, BOLD) and Gemma Wirz (Learning Outreach Lead, Jacobs Foundation)
