The Government of Yukon gives new and emerging tourism entrepreneurs in the Yukon between $1,000 and $5,000 to turn a visitor experience idea into something real. It covers up to 100 per cent of eligible expenses, and it is a grant, not a loan. The programme runs three intakes a year against an annual budget of $150,000, committed through March 2028. **What you get:** - Between $1,000 and $5,000, covering up to 100 per cent of eligible expenses - A grant rather than a loan, with nothing to repay if you deliver and report - Payment within 30 business days of signing the agreement - Pre-application guidance from the department if you ask for it **What you'll do:** - Propose a new tourism experience or service and show how you will bring it to market - Be assessed against a published weighted matrix: sustainability 30 per cent, long-term vision and viability 25 per cent, innovative concept 25 per cent, and your own capacity 20 per cent - Sign a Transfer Payment Agreement if approved - Keep proof of payment for project expenses for one year - File a final report when the project is complete **Key dates:** - This intake closes 15 October 2026 at 16:30 Yukon time - Intakes run three times a year, closing 15 June, 15 October and 15 February
