Who can apply

To be considered for the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann Scholarship, applicants must be outstanding university graduates or professionals from developing or emerging economies who would otherwise be unable to fund their studies at Oxford. Candidates must be applying to begin a new full-time graduate course at the University of Oxford and intend to return to their country of ordinary residence upon completion of their studies. They must demonstrate a clear connection between their chosen field of study and their long-term career goals, showing how their future professional work will contribute to the improvement of public life in their home country, region, or internationally. Applicants must be ordinarily resident in one of the eligible countries and be offered a place on an eligible course. The scholarship is not open to candidates with deferred offers for the 2026–27 academic year, nor to current Oxford students unless they are already part of the Weidenfeld-Hoffmann programme
