Dr. Interested is an international youth-led organization that helps young people explore careers in health, wellness, research, advocacy, and leadership. Volunteers contribute to projects that support career exploration, mentorship, community engagement, and policy initiatives while helping others learn about opportunities in healthcare and wellness. Through their involvement, volunteers gain hands-on experience working with a global organization, develop leadership and collaboration skills, receive verified volunteer hours, and may be eligible for letters of recommendation from medical students and merit-based opportunities to represent Dr. Interested at conferences. For youth in Canada under the age of 30, additional opportunities include access to microgrants, tech and travel grants, participation in more than 100 virtual and in-person workshops each year with civic leaders and mentors, and the opportunity to earn a National Service Recognition Certificate signed by the Honourable Patty Hajdu after completing 120 service hours.
