Regional biodiversity data mobilization grants aim to strengthen collaborations between institutions within sub-Saharan Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean or the Pacific to enhance knowledge-sharing, including capacity building and skills mobility, and to increase the availability and use of open biodiversity data addressing clearly identified regional priorities. Purpose: Strengthen regional collaborations to mobilize biodiversity data for policy, research, and conservation. Focus areas: - Building and expanding regional data‑sharing networks - Mobilizing biodiversity data (digitization, publishing, validation) - Supporting integration of biodiversity data into research and policymaking Funding: - Up to €90,000 per project - Eligible costs: staff time, travel, workshops, IT services/equipment (up to €9,000) - Ineligible costs: overhead, fieldwork, new data collection, laboratory research
