About this opportunity

The Inter-Agency PSEA Community Outreach and Communication Fund 2026 is a joint grant initiative by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and the International Council of Voluntary Agencies (ICVA), designed to fund local and national NGOs and civil society organizations (CSOs) working in humanitarian settings worldwide. Established in 2020, the Fund supports grassroots efforts to prevent sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA) by empowering local organizations to lead community outreach, awareness, and protection initiatives. The 2026 Call for Proposals is open to organizations engaged with displaced populations, refugees, conflict-affected communities, and other vulnerable groups across Africa, Asia, the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Oceania. Funded projects may include community awareness campaigns, peer-to-peer education, survivor-centered communication, locally tailored materials in indigenous languages, radio programs, community theatre, and systems-strengthening activities. The Fund prioritizes local leadership and cultural relevance, ensuring that affected communities understand their rights, know that humanitarian aid is unconditional, and have access to safe reporting channels. All materials produced become part of a publicly accessible open-source database for global reuse. Since its founding, the Fund has supported over 65 projects, reached more than 2 million people, and produced outreach materials in over 60 languages, contributing to a more accountable and community-driven humanitarian protection system.
