Trust is the foundation of vibrant, resilient communities and a healthy civic life. Across the country, organizations are demonstrating the profound ways trust shapes our collective well-being—strengthening relationships between neighbors, building confidence in institutions, and enabling people to work together to solve shared challenges. These efforts are often rooted in the leadership and lived experience of those closest to the work.

Grant funding — up to $5 million total distributed across tiers:

$100,000 Grants: Local nonprofit collaborations testing trust‑building strategies.
$500,000 Grants: Larger‑scale collaborations with potential for wider influence.
$1,000,000 Grants: Ambitious collaborations testing bold, highly visible ideas with potential to shift narratives or practices.

Who can apply

Lead organization must be a U.S.‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit (or fiscally sponsored by one).
Collaboration must include at least two additional U.S.‑based 501(c)(3) nonprofit partners.
Must serve and impact communities in the U.S. or U.S. territories.
Must propose a new or evolving initiative (not established projects already at scale).
Lead organization must demonstrate track record in trust‑building and financial capacity to manage funds.
Not eligible: individuals, for‑profit entities, government entities, organizations outside the U.S., or partisan political groups.
