Shoot For Peace is a Toronto arts non-profit founded in 2015, funded by the Government of Canada through Canada Service Corps. Its Community Impact Program takes young people with an idea to serve their own community and helps them build it: seven core workshop sessions over about two months, mentorship from industry professionals, studio access, and up to $5,000 to deliver the project. The money is paid after you complete the programme and depends on attending every session. **What you get:** - Up to $5,000 in project funding, released after you complete the programme - Seven core sessions covering mapping out your idea, programme planning and budgeting, storytelling, community engagement, network and outreach, brand and pitch, and sustainability - Mentorship and coaching from industry professionals and guest speakers - Access to the Shoot For Peace studio - A cohort of people building their own community projects alongside you **What you'll do:** - Design and deliver an arts-based project that serves a real need in your community - Attend every core session; they run twice weekly, Sunday mornings in person and Wednesday evenings online - Close with a final pitch showcasing your project to the group - Complete your project inside the two month window - Submit final reporting on all project activities **Key dates:** - Applications close 11 September 2026 at 11:59 PM - Decisions at least one week after the close - The programme runs for seven consecutive weeks, dates to be confirmed
