About this opportunity

“Nyoloha” means Rise in Sesotho. The programme identifies talented youth nationwide through auditions and portfolio reviews, provides three months of mentorship and workshops, and culminates in a visual arts exhibition and performing arts showcase. Two winners receive full scholarships to pursue accredited tertiary studies in South Africa starting in 2027.

Who can apply

Must be a South African citizen aged 17–25
Must be in Grade 12 OR have university exemption
Must need financial assistance to study arts at a South African tertiary institution (2027 entry)
Must not be registered for 2026 studies or hold an existing arts qualification
Must not be a professional artist (no full‑time employment in arts discipline)
Must not have participated in 2025 ACT Nyoloha programme
Must commit to the 6‑month mentorship programme
Required documents: ID copy, academic results, signed consent form, headshot, and either video (Performing Arts) or portfolio images (Visual Arts)
