Who can apply

  • Must be a South African citizen aged 17–25
  • Must be in Grade 12 OR have university exemption
  • Must need financial assistance to study arts at a South African tertiary institution (2027 entry)
  • Must not be registered for 2026 studies or hold an existing arts qualification
  • Must not be a professional artist (no full‑time employment in arts discipline)
  • Must not have participated in 2025 ACT Nyoloha programme
  • Must commit to the 6‑month mentorship programme
  • Required documents: ID copy, academic results, signed consent form, headshot, and either video (Performing Arts) or portfolio images (Visual Arts)
  • In high school
  • In college or university
