About this opportunity

The Prince Casper Foundation, a privately funded Canadian nonprofit focused on quality education, runs the Impact Grant to put project funding directly in the hands of educators in underserved communities across Nigeria. For the 2026-2027 cycle it will award ₦6 million in total to 26 educators, in grants of ₦100,000, ₦200,000 or ₦500,000, for defined projects that improve teaching and learning for primary and secondary pupils.

What you get:

A project grant of ₦500,000 (Trailblazer, 7 awards), ₦200,000 (Catalyst, 6 awards) or ₦100,000 (Launchpad, 13 awards)

What you'll do:

Choose two of the four focus areas: Learning Access, Digital Innovation, Educator Excellence and Inclusive Empowerment
Complete a 14-section online form covering your community's need, your track record, your project, a line-by-line budget and an implementation timeline of at least three activities
Upload a Letter of Intent of 500 to 750 words and a CV with a recent photograph, both as PDFs, plus optional photos and supporting material
Name one referee; shortlisted applicants are interviewed and references are checked
If funded, spend the grant on the project you described and report on what happened; projects start no earlier than January 2027

Aged 18 or older
Actively working in the education sector in Nigeria, directly with or contributing to the learning of children and young people in primary or secondary education
Serving a rural, underserved or otherwise educationally disadvantaged community in Nigeria (schools in towns and cities can qualify if the community is underserved)
A clear and genuine financial need affecting your ability to support or improve teaching or learning
One application per person; a project may involve colleagues but one named applicant submits it
Past grantees and Prince Casper Fellows may apply, but priority goes to applicants who have not received the Impact Grant before
