Mentora Scholars is a leadership fellowship for undergraduates at US and Canadian colleges, run by the Mentora Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Mentora Institute founded by Columbia Business School professor Dr. Hitendra Wadhwa. Scholars complete a short virtual curriculum from February to April 2027, then a 12 day residential immersion in Nashville, Tennessee, built around his Inner Mastery, Outer Impact method of values, character and changemaking. The Foundation covers programme cost, room and board; scholars pay their own travel. **What you get:** - A full scholarship from the Mentora Foundation covering programme cost, room and board - A 12 day residential immersion, May 17 to 28, 2027, at the Scarritt Bennett Center in Nashville, Tennessee - Teaching from Dr. Hitendra Wadhwa and Mentora faculty, plus access to Mentora's Luminary Network of leaders in business, sports, law and public service - One to one faculty office hours during the immersion - A lifelong alumni community, with routes to become a Campus Ambassador or apply to the advanced Mentora Fellows programme **What you'll do:** - Complete the virtual Core Curriculum, about 10 to 11 hours of reading, reflection and community building between February and April 2027 - Attend the in person immersion on three themes: Inner Mastery, Outer Impact and Changemaking - Take part in daily morning practice such as guided meditation, journaling or a mindful walk, small group practice and scholar led evening sessions **Key dates:** - Applications opened September 14, 2026 - Early priority deadline November 8, 2026 - Final deadline January 17, 2027 - Decisions made on a rolling basis between the early and final deadlines - Virtual Core Curriculum February to April 2027 - Residential Immersion May 17 to 28, 2027, Nashville, Tennessee - Information sessions: September 29 (Georgetown, Washington DC), October 20 (Zoom), October 21 (NYU), October 27 (Penn), October 29 (Barnard and Columbia), 2026 **More information:** - Applying early is encouraged because applications are reviewed on a rolling basis - Travel to and from Nashville and incidental expenses are the scholar's responsibility - Students who do not complete the virtual Core Curriculum are not invited to the residential immersion - Graduating seniors should check their commencement date against the May immersion and contact the programme if it clashes - The application asks for a self reported GPA, with an official transcript requested later in the evaluation, plus a LinkedIn profile or CV and eight short reflection answers
