The Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS) runs a year-long fellowship in New York for early career professionals from its member states, supported by Italy since 2018. Fellows work at their country's UN Permanent Mission, train in climate change, oceans and sustainable development law and policy, and join their national delegation in real UN negotiations.
