Harvard LEAD Women in Global Health Fellowship

The Harvard Global Health Institute, working with the Department of Global Health and Population at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, runs a one-year leadership fellowship for experienced global health professionals based in low- and middle-income countries. Fellows build a personalised leadership plan with an executive coach and Harvard faculty mentors, then spend six weeks in residence at Harvard in April 2028. It is built for leaders who will go on to mentor the next generation of women in global health. **What you get:** - One-to-one executive leadership coaching across the fellowship year - Monthly mentorship from Harvard faculty matched to your interests - An executive education course at Harvard (past fellows took the Harvard Kennedy School Women and Power course) - Private leadership masterclasses on negotiation, public speaking, communication and decision-making - Six weeks in residence in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with visa fees, flights and housing covered and a living stipend for the weeks in the United States - Speaking opportunities at global health events and a network of peers and mentors across Harvard **What you'll do:** - From September 2027, work virtually with your coach to plan your own leadership development, alongside your normal job - Write and carry out a project plan and a plan for mentoring others - Take leave from work for six weeks in April 2028 to study, attend workshops and speak at Harvard - Return to your home institution and continue coaching through re-entry and close-out to August 2028 **Key dates:** - Applications close November 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM EST - Applicants notified in spring 2027 - Fellowship runs September 1, 2027 to August 31, 2028 - Six weeks in residence at Harvard in April 2028 **More information:** - Full eligibility and application requirements are on the HGHI LEAD Fellowship page - Questions go to hghi_fellowships@harvard.edu
