The Global Landscapes Forum, the land use platform led by CIFOR and ICRAF with UNEP and the World Bank, is recruiting its 2027 cohort of Social Media Ambassadors. It is a volunteer programme for young content creators and digital storytellers who already post about land, ecology and climate, and who want training, a global peer network and a route into GLF events and partner organisations. You do not need a big following: GLF says the programme is open to creators whose platform is "no matter how big or small". **What you get:** - Storytelling and content creation workshops - A peer community of digital storytellers from around the world - Potential support for your content or journalism (GLF does not say what form this takes) - Direct connections into the wider GLF network and its partner organisations - Online and in person meetups and access to GLF learning opportunities, based on how the 2026 cohort ran - A chance of sponsored travel to cover GLF events as a social media correspondent; past cohorts received this, but it is not promised to every ambassador **What you'll do:** - Create content on your own channels that reframes how people talk about landscapes, land and climate - Collaborate on content with the GLF team and community - Take part in hybrid GLF events and help amplify GLF campaigns **Key dates:** - Applications opened 28 September 2026 - Applications close Saturday 17 October 2026 at 23:59 GMT **More information:** - Programme overview on the GLF Social Media Ambassadors page - Apply through the 2027 application form on GLF's Typeform, linked from GLF's Instagram bio - The closing date is published on GLF's own Instagram call post
