Girl Up, the global leadership initiative for girls hosted by Global Fund for Children, is selecting two young people to work part-time with its Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) team for six months from 1 January 2027. Global Kinship Leaders are what Girl Up used to call its interns and fellows in the region: 15 to 20 hours a week supporting Girl Up clubs, youth leadership programmes, digital storytelling and programme coordination. Aged 19 to 22
Currently based in Kenya, Zimbabwe or the United Kingdom: one place is for Kenya and one is shared between the UK and Zimbabwe
Currently enrolled at a university or college
A strong interest in girls' leadership, gender justice, youth advocacy or social impact work
Experience of, or interest in, youth organising, community initiatives or student leadership
Strong organisational, administrative, written and verbal communication skills
Basic experience with digital tools and some knowledge of AI
Proactive, creative and able to work independently
Your own laptop and a reliable internet connection
Available for 15 to 20 hours a week for six months
