Global Fund for Children is funding survivor activists and survivor-led groups to get into the rooms where child protection policy is actually decided. The Advocacy Event Participation Grants sit inside GFC's Survivor-Led Activism Fund, which was designed by survivors, and they pay for the practical cost of showing up: a conference, a convening, an advocacy week, a policy meeting. Grants are up to GBP 9,000 for survivor-led groups and organizations, registered or unregistered, and up to GBP 4,500 for individual activists. The money is deliberately flexible. It covers economy travel, accommodation, event registration fees, visas, accessibility costs such as interpretation or a personal assistant, care costs including childcare while you are away, wellbeing support, coaching to prepare your participation, and for individuals a contribution towards income lost while attending. GFC only makes 10 grants in total and reviews applications on the 10th of each month, closing on 10 November 2026 or earlier once all 10 are awarded. Apply at least two months before your event. You do not have to disclose your personal story: GFC does not score it, and you can stay anonymous or use a pseudonym throughout. What you get: ➤ Up to GBP 9,000 for survivor-led groups and organizations, registered or unregistered ➤ Up to GBP 4,500 for individual survivor activists ➤ Economy class travel and accommodation to the advocacy event ➤ Event registration or participation fees, and visa costs where needed ➤ Accessibility costs such as interpretation or support from a personal assistant or companion ➤ Care costs such as childcare while you are away, plus wellbeing and support costs ➤ Coaching or training to prepare your participation, for example public speaking coaching ➤ For individuals, a contribution towards income lost while attending What you'll do: ➤ Identify a specific, time-bound advocacy event with confirmed dates and open registration ➤ Attend and participate in it, whether by speaking, facilitating, or contributing ➤ Use the event to influence policy, systems, professional practice, public awareness, or movement building on preventing child sexual abuse and violence ➤ Describe in your own words how your work is survivor-led, without having to share your personal story
