About this opportunity

The FREE STEM Fund provides direct grants to grassroots groups, collectives, and organizations working to advance gender equity in STEM across Africa, Asia, and Latin America. It supports advocacy, safety, leadership, health, education, financial inclusion, and access for girls, women, transgender, and non-binary people.

Who can apply

Be a group of at least 3 people
Align with FREE STEM’s mission and focus on girls, women, transgender, and non-binary people
Have 60%+ leadership from women, transgender, or non-binary individuals
Focus on at least the Education and Training thematic area
Have annual income below €150,000 (priority for grassroots orgs)
Be from underrepresented or excluded communities (e.g. BIPOC, LGBTIQ+, disabled, stateless, rural, caste-oppressed)
