The Falling Walls Foundation in Berlin runs the Female Science Talents Intensive Track, a free one-year career programme for 20 women and gender-diverse researchers from any scientific discipline. Across 2027 the cohort meets online for workshops, career talks and peer sessions, and travels to Berlin twice, including a place at the Falling Walls Science Summit, with travel and accommodation covered. **What you get:** - Two trips to Berlin, 4 days in May and 5 to 6 days in November 2027, with accommodation and catering covered and trains, flights and public transport reimbursed - Overseas flights from outside Europe booked and paid for by the Foundation - A place at the International Fall Gathering and the Falling Walls Science Summit 2027 - Online workshops and career talks on leadership, entrepreneurship, science communication and pitch training - Peer mentoring from programme alumni, and networking with role models and partners including the Bayer Foundation, Elsevier Foundation, Volkswagen Foundation and the German Research Foundation - Visibility for your research through Falling Walls channels, and a certificate of participation **What you'll do:** - Join online sessions once or twice a month, about 3 to 5 hours a month, from February 2027 to January 2028 - Attend the International Spring Gathering and International Fall Gathering in Berlin - Lead peer-to-peer sessions on your own skills and help organise community events - Mentor the 2028 cohort, up to six times a year **Key dates:** - Applications open 1 October 2026 via the Falling Walls Global Call - Applications close 15 November 2026 at 23:59 CET - Final selection by the end of December 2026; selected participants contacted by email in January 2027 - Programme runs February 2027 to January 2028 - Berlin gatherings in May 2027 and November 2027 **More information:** - Full FAQ, travel rules and visa guidance on the official programme page
