The Qi Social Innovation Center, a Beijing non-profit social enterprise founded in 2022, runs the Fellowship For Change with Columbia Global Center Beijing. It is a one-year scholarship programme for high school students who want to turn a social or environmental issue they care about into a real project, through three in-person Learning Summits, monthly mentoring and online sessions. Cohort 4 runs from August 2027 to August 2028 and is primarily for students in China, though students living overseas can apply. **What you get:** - Hotel accommodation, meals, field visit transport and curriculum materials for all three in-person Learning Summits, paid by the programme - Teaching from Columbia University professors, Columbia Pre-College Program instructors and other practitioners - Monthly mentor meetings and project feedback from instructors, mentors and peers across the year - Travel financial aid for getting to and from the Summits, which Fellows can apply for in case of hardship **What you'll do:** - Attend three in-person Learning Summits, about 20 days in total, in the summer, winter holiday and following summer; the first runs 7 to 14 August 2027 in Beijing - Join online learning sessions and mentor meetings between Summits, about two hours a month during the school year - Research a social or environmental issue, design and prototype a solution, and pilot it with local communities in China, alone or in a team - Present your work at the closing FFC Impact Forum **Key dates:** - Applications close 10 January 2027 at 23:59 Beijing time - Shortlisted applicants are notified before the Spring Festival (Chinese New Year) 2027 - Interviews, up to two rounds, February to March 2027 - First offers sent by the end of March 2027 - First Learning Summit 7 to 14 August 2027 in Beijing - Programme runs August 2027 to August 2028 **More information:** - Programme page (Chinese, with an English toggle): https://qi-center.org/ffc - Questions go to ffc@qi-center.org
