Evidence Exchange (EvEx), an ESRC-funded network led by the University of Cambridge's Centre for Science and Policy, is offering around 50 Policy Fellowships for public and civil servants anywhere in the UK. Fellows bring a real policy challenge from their job and spend up to five days at one or more universities meeting academics matched to their questions, between December 2026 and May 2027. You can apply on your own or as a team of two to five colleagues working on the same challenge. **What you get:** - Up to five days of meetings with academic researchers matched to your policy questions, usually split over two visits - A fellowship coordinator who designs the programme around your questions, needs and location - Accommodation, taxis between meetings, room hire and related events covered by EvEx - Travel to and from your visits covered by EvEx if your employer has no learning and development budget for it - A place in a UK-wide network of EvEx Policy Fellows **What you'll do:** - Propose three to six short policy questions drawn from your own work - Meet individual researchers or cross-disciplinary roundtables, and join relevant seminars at the host university - Produce a short output afterwards, such as a case study, a briefing or a presentation to colleagues **Key dates:** - Applications opened 8 September 2026 - Applications close at midday UK time on 8 October 2026 - Outcomes and confirmation of places in November 2026 - Fellowships run December 2026 to May 2027, with the first visit between January and March **More information:** - Full applicant guidance and a draft application form (PDF and Word) are on the EvEx page, also in Welsh - Welsh-language applications can be emailed to evex@csap.cam.ac.uk by the same deadline
