No professional mental health qualification is needed, and the role is facilitation and advocacy, not counselling. **What you get:** - Virtual training and resources to facilitate conversations safely and effectively - A certificate of recognition for champions who show meaningful participation and impact - A part in Commonwealth-wide advocacy on youth mental health, built from what young people say in the conversations and the survey **What you'll do:** - Attend the required virtual training - Facilitate at least one Are You Okay? Conversation in your community using the campaign's conversation guide - Encourage young people to take the Are You Okay? Pulse, an anonymous survey on wellbeing, pressures, access to support and barriers to seeking help - Follow the campaign's safeguarding, confidentiality, boundaries and signposting guidance - Submit a short report of anonymised insights and recommendations from your conversation **Key dates:** - Applications close 4 October 2026 at 23:59 BST - Grand Convening on 10 October 2026, World Mental Health Day (separate registration on the campaign page) **More information:** - The application takes about five minutes - Champions are community facilitators and advocates, not counsellors: the role involves no counselling, diagnosis or treatment - Campaign page: cycofficial.org/are-you-okay
