Who can apply

  • Grassroots, community-led organisation based in England
  • Organisation must be located in the same region where the project will be delivered
  • Work must address homelessness and cost of living, early childhood development, violence against women and girls, or the safety of refugees, asylum seekers and people experiencing forced migration
  • Organisations holding a 2025/26 grant may apply only if that project is complete and its end of grant report is submitted by 30 September 2026
  • Annual income under £250,000
  • Constituted voluntary and community groups, charities, social enterprises, CICs limited by guarantee running for at least two years, and not-for-profit companies limited by guarantee
  • Must be based in England and in the region where the project will be delivered
  • Not open to individuals, schools, universities, hospitals, profit-making businesses or un-constituted groups
  • Projects whose principal focus is mental health are not accepted
