The Aspen Global Innovators Group at the Aspen Institute runs a year-long fellowship for locally rooted leaders who are building healthier communities across the United States. Fellows get individual coaching in communication, narrative and leadership, learn to write opinion pieces and plan advocacy campaigns, and join a network of more than 7,400 leaders.   • Must be a community leader based in the United States; this is a U.S.-based fellowship
  • A record of significant positive impact in a local community by addressing health issues in an innovative way, using an explicit equity lens, or strong advocacy on issues facing frontline health workers
  • No age limit
  • Self-nomination is allowed; others can also nominate you
  • Communications, PR and journalism professionals are generally not the target; the fellowship is for local community leaders
  • Must commit to full attendance at all in-person sessions and about 5 to 10 hours a month
  • Priority for 2027 to leaders in Laredo, Texas, Rio Grande Valley counties in Texas, and Louisville, Kentucky
