Agog: The Immersive Media Institute, founded by Chip Giller and Wendy Schmidt, is committing up to USD 1 million in grants for projects that use immersive media to move people from climate awareness to action. What you get: ➤ Grants between USD 25,000 and USD 200,000 per selected project ➤ A total pool of up to USD 1 million across the cohort ➤ Mentorship from XR and climate experts ➤ Advisor support throughout production ➤ Partnership and distribution opportunities ➤ Review by leaders including Jerome Foster II and Anthony Leiserowitz What you'll do: ➤ Pitch an immersive media project (VR, AR, MR, spatial audio, smart glasses) tied to climate impact ➤ Focus on storytelling, civic participation, community resilience, or climate justice ➤ Show a credible production plan and organisational capacity ➤ Submit through Submittable before applications close ➤ Receive a decision by fall 2026 This is Agog's first open call, designed to widen access to funding for immersive storytelling that helps people understand and act on the climate crisis. Projects at any stage are welcome, from early research to audience-development campaigns. International collaborators are welcome on the team, though the lead applicant must be a US-based entity.
