About this opportunity

The ACET Young Leaders in Research (YLR) Grant is a 12-month funding program supporting early-career African researchers in economics and related fields. The grant enables recipients to conduct policy-relevant, context-driven research focusing on Africa’s transformation agenda. Selected grantees receive up to $15,000, mentorship from ACET Senior Fellows, opportunities for peer learning, networking, and the chance to publish and present their research. The 2026 themes include Gender Equality, Regional Integration, Innovation & Digital Policy, and Green Industrial Transformation.
