Up to C$40,000 per project
Funding for travel, research assistants, translation, and fieldwork

Who can apply

Proposal jointly developed by at least one Canadian institution and one Indo‑Pacific institution
Canadian partner must serve as lead applicant and grant holder
Funds must be expended by March 31, 2027
Proposal (max. 5 pages) must include:
Policy focus & relevance
Partnership roles
Approach & activities
Outputs & mobilization plan
Annexes: workplan, timeline, detailed budget
Eligible costs: travel, assistants, translation, fieldwork (per Canadian government travel directive)
Ineligible costs: alcohol, gifts, bonuses, gratuities, overhead expenses
Running a project or organization
Graduate student
Working (full-time or part-time)
