Building a venture studio for Egypt's regional founders

Mohamed Omar Mohamed Ghazal is building NextWorld, a venture studio for SMEs and early stage founders in underserved regional markets, and a platform that pairs founders with investors on the strength of the opportunity rather than the reach of an existing network.

NextWorld is a venture studio, "focused on helping SMEs and early stage founders build stronger businesses especially in Egypt's underserved regional markets," he says. Alongside it he is developing Blind Business Show, a platform "designed to help founders connect with investors based on the strength of their opportunity rather than their existing network." Both models, he says, are being validated through early partnerships, pilot projects and beta users.

He studies at Alexandria University. His current focus, he says, is building venture infrastructure for founders in underserved Egyptian governorates. It is a gap he has said he experienced personally, and works to address through NextWorld.

“Talent is everywhere, but opportunity is not. I want to spend my life helping build the systems that make where someone is born less important than what they are capable of building.”

The reason he is building the two together is one he states flat. "I believe geography and personal connections shouldn't determine who gets a chance to build," he says. One is NextWorld, working with the founder on the business. The other, Blind Business Show, tries to reach the investor.

"What drives me is seeing talented entrepreneurs struggle، not because they lack ideas or determination, but because they lack access to the right systems, capital and relationships," he says. The near-term work he sets out is straightforward: "growing the platform, onboarding more founders and investors and improving the matching experience based on real user feedback."

The studio is early. Two products, one principle. That is where the beta lives now. "The platform is still early," he says, "but the direction is clear: build founders, widen access, and back opportunity."
