About this opportunity

The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) are a voluntary youth network run by EU NEIGHBOURS east, the EU-funded communication programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood. It connects young people from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, the EU and the UK to explain EU cooperation with the Eastern partner countries and to run civic activities in their own communities. The network turns ten this year and is recruiting its next intake.

What you get:

A place in a network of almost 500 active ambassadors from over 30 nationalities
The chance to represent young people from your country at home and abroad, including meetings with EU officials and EU youth events

What you'll do:

Run social media campaigns, workshops, school visits, debates and other outreach on EU cooperation
Take part in online and dialogue-driven activities with ambassadors from other countries
Give at least 8 hours a month as a volunteer, with your mandate reviewed every year

Key dates:

Call opened 15 September 2026
Applications close 12 October 2026 (the form states 12 AM CET)
Interviews and special sessions follow; final results take about eight weeks after the call closes

More information:

The application form takes about 30 to 45 minutes and asks for a motivational video of up to 2 minutes, preferably in English
Ukrainian applicants may apply from Ukraine or from wherever they now live in the EU
Young Belarusians living in the EU can join from wherever they now live; YEAs are no longer active inside Belarus
A CV is optional

Citizen of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Republic of Moldova, Ukraine, an EU Member State or the UK
Aged 16 to 26
Good level of English
Interested in EU affairs and the partnership between the EU and your country
Interested in public diplomacy and outreach, and ready to share knowledge and information
Motivated to contribute to the development of your community and country
Able to dedicate at least 8 hours a month to volunteering
