The WTO Young Trade Leaders Programme empowers young professionals and students passionate about trade and multilateralism. Fellows act as ambassadors for the WTO, helping to explain trade’s role in development, sustainability, and global cooperation.

Who can apply

Age 18–28 at time of application
Citizen of a WTO member country
Strong interest in international trade, multilateralism, and global cooperation
Must submit:
CV/resume
Motivation statement (why trade matters, why you want to be a YTL)
Proposal for outreach activities (e.g., blogs, events, social media campaigns)
Commitment to serve for one year (June 2026–May 2027)
Ability to communicate in English (other WTO languages an asset)
In college or university
Just graduated
Working (full-time or part-time)
