Smaller requests are welcome: ask for what your activity actually needs - A place at a two-day regional WPS Activation Initiative convening in February or March 2027. Agreed travel, accommodation and participation costs are covered separately by AMPLIFY and do not come out of your grant - Peer feedback on your project, connections with practitioners across Southeast Asia, and a chance to explore future collaboration **What you'll do:** - Choose one theme: environmental security (for example disasters, displacement, extractive industries, water insecurity or extreme heat), digital transformation (women in technology, AI and cybersecurity, digital safety, or technology-facilitated violence against women and girls), or women's participation in peacebuilding (conflict prevention, border tensions, community voice in peace and security decisions) - Propose something new or adapted rather than a top-up for work you already do: short research, a digital tool or platform, a participatory workshop or dialogue, an advocacy initiative, or artwork, storytelling, film or performance - Run your pilot between November 2026 and January 2027, in English or a local language - Report what it achieved: at minimum the knowledge products you made, how many people took part (by gender, age group, role and country) and what participants thought of it - Present your work at the regional convening in February or March 2027 and finalise your project; the initiative wraps up around International Women's Day 2027 **Key dates:** - Applications close 6 November 2026 (no time is given; the record uses 23:59 Bangkok time) - November 2026 to January 2027: selected applicants develop and run their pilots - February to March 2027: two-day regional convening to share learning and finalise projects - The initiative concludes around International Women's Day 2027 **More information:** - Download the application set (PDF), which has a template for every part of the application: https://asiafoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/20261012_AMPLIFY_Attachments_Civil-Society-Activation-Initiative_Name-and-Surname-Country.pdf - The application asks how your activity will use AMPLIFY's research findings, so read AMPLIFY's civil society scoping study before you write: https://asiafoundation.org/insight/cambodia-lao-pdr-and-myanmar-civil-society-organization-and-community-scoping-study/ - About the AMPLIFY programme: https://asiafoundation.org/program/amplify/

About this opportunity

The Asia Foundation's AMPLIFY programme, a Women, Peace and Security initiative supported by New Zealand's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, is offering grants of up to US$3,000 to people, groups and organisations in eight Southeast Asian countries who want to test a new idea on women, peace and security. Each grant funds a small pilot on one of three themes: environmental security, digital transformation, or women's participation in peacebuilding. You do not need a registered organisation to apply, and everyone selected also joins a two-day regional convening in February or March 2027, with agreed travel and accommodation covered.

What you get:

  • A grant of up to US$3,000 to develop and test a small pilot initiative. Smaller requests are welcome: ask for what your activity actually needs
  • A place at a two-day regional WPS Activation Initiative convening in February or March 2027. Agreed travel, accommodation and participation costs are covered separately by AMPLIFY and do not come out of your grant
  • Peer feedback on your project, connections with practitioners across Southeast Asia, and a chance to explore future collaboration

What you'll do:

  • Choose one theme: environmental security (for example disasters, displacement, extractive industries, water insecurity or extreme heat), digital transformation (women in technology, AI and cybersecurity, digital safety, or technology-facilitated violence against women and girls), or women's participation in peacebuilding (conflict prevention, border tensions, community voice in peace and security decisions)
  • Propose something new or adapted rather than a top-up for work you already do: short research, a digital tool or platform, a participatory workshop or dialogue, an advocacy initiative, or artwork, storytelling, film or performance
  • Run your pilot between November 2026 and January 2027, in English or a local language
  • Report what it achieved: at minimum the knowledge products you made, how many people took part (by gender, age group, role and country) and what participants thought of it
  • Present your work at the regional convening in February or March 2027 and finalise your project; the initiative wraps up around International Women's Day 2027

Key dates:

  • Applications close 6 November 2026 (no time is given; the record uses 23:59 Bangkok time)
  • November 2026 to January 2027: selected applicants develop and run their pilots
