$10,000 Small Business Digital Ready Grant

Organization: Verizon

Type: Grant

Location: United States

Deadline: December 7, 2026

Funding: Fully Funded

Verizon runs a free learning platform for small business owners called Small Business Digital Ready, and it gives cash away through it. Ten businesses are chosen every month from June to December 2026 to receive US$10,000 each, with LISC, a national non-profit, acting as the independent grant administrator that handles intake, review and payment. The part worth knowing before you start: the application only unlocks after you finish two free courses or events on the platform, and Verizon sets December 7, 2026 as the last day to complete them. **What you get:** - US$10,000 in cash, paid by ACH bank transfer, with nothing to repay and no reporting required - Free access to the Digital Ready platform whether or not you win: on demand courses, expert led coaching, peer networking and in person events, in English and Spanish - One application covers the whole year. Submit once and you stay in the pool for every remaining monthly selection through December 2026 - 70 grants are on offer through this national round, ten selected each month from June to December 2026 **What you'll do:** - Register a free account on Verizon Small Business Digital Ready - Complete any two free courses, virtual events including recorded ones, or eligible in person events, between January 1 and December 7, 2026. In person events only count if you scan the event QR code on site - Submit the grant application once it unlocks. Verizon says it takes no more than 30 minutes and LISC says no grant writer is needed or recommended - Have your most recent annual business revenue, your business structure and your employee count to hand before you start, because the form does not save your progress - If you are picked as a finalist, supply business verification: date of birth, SSN, TIN, ITIN or EIN, a W-9 and business banking details for the ACH transfer **Key dates:** - January 1 to December 7, 2026: the window to complete the two free courses or events that unlock the application - June to December 2026: applications reviewed monthly, ten businesses selected each month - January 12, 2027: every applicant is told their final result, whether selected or not **More information:** - Full grant details and FAQ on the Digital Ready platform: https://digitalready.verizonwireless.com/funding/details - Eligibility guidelines, selection process and terms from LISC, the grant administrator: https://www.lisc.org/our-initiatives/small-business/our-work/verizon-small-business-digital-ready/grant-program/ - Free registration to start the two qualifying courses: https://digitalready.verizonwireless.com/onboarding - The application is available in Spanish, and LISC publishes a Spanish version of the grant page

Good to know

+$10,000 in cash with nothing to repay and no reporting afterwards
+The platform and its courses are free, and Verizon says so in those words
+Ten grants are awarded every month through to December, so a single decision is not the whole year
+LISC administers the grants independently of Verizon

Worth checking yourself

!You cannot apply straight away. You must first complete two free courses or events on the Digital Ready platform, and only then does the application unlock. Build that into your timing
!Those courses must be completed between 1 January and 7 December 2026, so 7 December is the last day you can do anything at all to become eligible
!United States only, including Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands
!You need an existing for-profit business with a verified address, and finalists must provide a W-9, a tax ID and business bank details. One grant per business tax ID
!There is no youth criterion. The floor is 18 and there is no ceiling, so you would be competing against businesses of any age and stage
!One Verizon support page still says there is no open grant. It is out of date; three other Verizon pages and the live application say otherwise
