TOKAS offers a six to twelve week research residency in Tokyo for creators working across visual arts, design, architecture, music, performing arts, curation, art criticism, cultural research, and writing. Five creators are selected per cycle across three residency windows in 2027 (May to July, September to November, January to March). The residency is hosted at TOKAS's Hongō campus, with access to Tokyo's broader arts ecosystem through TOKAS's partner network. TOKAS does not provide visa support, financial assistance, or stipends. It is a strong fit for artists with their own funding or institutional backing.
