Rise is a US non-profit founded in 2014 by Amanda Nguyen, whose leaders come from the #MeToo, Stop Asian Hate, Women's March and March for Our Lives movements. Rise Justice Labs is its 12-week online accelerator for civil rights campaigns: you arrive with one legislative idea and leave having researched it, drafted a bill, courted a sponsor and launched a public campaign, with $5,000 in seed funding behind you. Applying is free. **What you get:** - $5,000 in seed funding to support your advocacy work - A place in a 12-week accelerator following the Hope-a-nomics curriculum, with weekly lectures from practitioners in politics, storytelling and organising - Technical support to research and write your own bill from pro bono attorneys and Rise staff who have passed their own laws - Access to Rise's network of professional lobbyists, attorneys, lawmakers, funders, celebrity supporters and media contacts - Hands-on campaign coaching from leaders of the Women's March, March for Our Lives, Stop Asian Hate and the #MeToo Movement - Press training, plus earned media and cross-promotion on Rise's own social channels - A cohort of like-minded changemakers who become your peer mentors **What you'll do:** - Week 1: orientation and leadership. Week 2: Hopeanomics 101, how to pass a law - Weeks 3 and 4: research your issue. Weeks 5 and 6: write your bill - Weeks 7 and 8: tell your story. Week 9: contact potential sponsors - Week 10: launch your campaign. Week 11: pitch your campaign.
