The Resilience Fellowship is a fully funded nine-month program (July 2026 to March 2027) that trains 12 pairs of East African youth to facilitate community Resilience Circles exploring climate anxiety and emotional wellbeing. The fellowship sits at the rare intersection of climate justice and mental health. What you get: ➤ KES 40,000 stipend per fellow (about USD 300) ➤ All travel costs to the residential covered ➤ Mental Health First Aid certification, a transferable credential ➤ 5-day residential in East Africa ➤ 8 weeks of co-led Resilience Circles experience ➤ Network of East African climate-mental-health practitioners What you'll do: ➤ Complete Mental Health First Aid training (2 days) ➤ Attend the 5-day residential to build facilitation skills ➤ Co-lead 8 weeks of Resilience Circles with your fellowship partner (groups of 16-20 community members each) ➤ Engage community members on climate anxiety and emotional wellbeing The program is built on the recognition that effective climate action requires emotional resilience and community-level wellbeing infrastructure, not just technical solutions. Applications are accepted as pre-formed pairs, which strengthens accountability and depth of impact in the Circles.
