Princeton in Asia, an independent non-profit founded in 1898 and based at Princeton University, places recent graduates in one or two year paid work fellowships with host organisations across Asia. For 2027-28 it expects to offer about 60 positions in 16 countries and regions, in fields from teaching and journalism to public health, STEM and economic development. Fellows are employed by their host organisation and paid a local living stipend, and there is no fee to apply. **What you get:** - A paid, one or two year work placement with a host organisation in Asia; Fellows are employees of the host, not of PiA - A local living stipend from the host organisation, set to cover housing, food, telecommunications and local transport - Reimbursement of visa costs, including application fees, notarisation and travel to the consulate - Travel medical and emergency evacuation insurance, 24/7 emergency and mental health support, and pre-departure training - A 120-hour online TEFL certification course for Fellows placed in teaching roles - Language study grants by application, travel grants by application for Fellows with financial need, and support from in-country advisors - Access to the PiA alumni network and mentor directory **What you'll do:** - Work full time at a host organisation such as a school, university, NGO, newspaper or social enterprise - Attend a mandatory multi-day orientation in person in Princeton, New Jersey, in early June 2027 - Live in and take part in your host community for the length of the fellowship, most starting in August 2027 **Key dates:** - Applications opened September 1, 2026 - Applications and recommendation form due November 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern - Interview invitations sent December 21, 2026; virtual interviews in January 2027 - Offers made on a rolling basis from late March 2027, and must be accepted or declined within four days - Orientation in Princeton, NJ in early June 2027; most fellowships begin in August 2027 **More information:** - Application Guide and Fellowship Descriptions are linked from the PiA applications page - Questions go to apply@princetoninasia.org
