The McCall MacBain International Fellowships enable globally minded Canadian undergraduate students to develop strong intercultural competencies and ties to different regions of the world through a year-long international experience. Through the fellowship, you will cultivate creativity, resilience, independence, critical thinking, and the ability to “stretch” outside of your comfort zone. The program is offered to undergraduate students at McGill University, McMaster University, Dalhousie University, and the University of Manitoba, as well as current recipients of the MacBain Niagara Falls and McCall Huron County scholarships. Duration: 1 year (Summer 2026 – Summer 2027) Structure: - Language Term — intensive language courses, host family stay, volunteering - Academic Term — full‑time study at a host university abroad (courses in new language) - Work Term — full‑time paid internship or work placement abroad Support Includes: - Monthly living stipend during language & academic terms - Waived tuition through home university - Travel & establishment stipend - Language course allowance - Medical allowance - Country contact & retreats (pre‑departure and return) Goal: Build global acumen, intercultural skills, and leadership capacity among Canadian youth. Fully Funded Fellowship — up to CAD $30,000 to cover expenses for a year abroad.
