Named after Ambassador Max Kampelman, the fellowship prepares the next generation of American leaders in security policy, human rights, and strategic communications. Fellows join CSCE staff to advance U.S. national security by promoting human rights, military security, and economic cooperation across the 57 OSCE countries. Benefits - Paid fellowship: $27/hour, 30 hours per week - Professional development and networking with senior staff - Opportunity to attend congressional hearings, briefings, and events - Each fellow publishes at least one article on the Commission’s website There are two fellowship tracks: - Policy Fellowship Fellows conduct in‑depth research and analysis on topics such as human rights, democracy, military security, and economic cooperation. They draft reports, attend congressional hearings, and contribute to policy recommendations that shape U.S. engagement with the OSCE region. - Communications Fellowship Fellows support the Commission’s outreach and public engagement. They write and edit content for the website, manage social media, and assist with photography, design, and digital strategy. Communications fellows ensure that CSCE’s work reaches policymakers, media, and the public effectively.
