About this opportunity

This program accelerates green science startups developing sustainable ingredients, low‑carbon technologies, and biotech innovations for cosmetics. It is a tripartite incubation between L’Oréal R&I, Genopole, and selected startups, designed to revolutionize the beauty industry through bio‑circularity, climate‑resilient feedstocks, and emerging green chemistry.

Focus areas include:

Ingredients from resilient feedstocks (castor, guar, shea, soy, palm, coco alternatives)
Climate‑resilient crops (heat, pest, water scarcity resistance)
Biodiversity enrichment & resource optimization
Low‑carbon technologies (bio‑circularity, industrial side streams)
Emerging green sciences (fermentation, mechanochemistry, electrochemistry, green solvents)
