More than a programme — a community After the immersive week, participants become part of the KESSA Alumni Network: a growing community of creators, visionaries, and narrative changemakers with access to opportunities, collaborations, and long-term support.

Objective: Support emerging African voices reshaping the continent’s narrative. Program Activities:

Masterclasses in storytelling, writing, journalism, digital culture, scientific storytelling, narrative leadership
Hands‑on workshops in audiovisual production, 360° storytelling, collaborative creation
Encounters with artists, journalists, cultural entrepreneurs, and researchers
Co‑creation of original works (video, podcast, text, or artistic creation)
Pan‑African distribution and visibility of productions After the Program: Integration into the KESSA alumni community with ongoing access to collaborations and networks.

Who can apply

Age 25–40
Minimum 5 years of experience in creative/narrative fields
Demonstrated creative practice or narrative work
Active and engaged audience connected to Africa
Commitment to shaping a positive, transformative African narrative
Strong potential for impact
