Keseb’s Democracy Innovation Lab catalyzes promising early-stage innovations reimagining the building blocks of democracy. The theme of the inaugural iLab is “reimagining community-building for inclusive and resilient democracies.” We are seeking to select and support 10 innovative community-building solutions that aim to foster cross-group belonging in diverse societies.

Theme (2026): Reimagining community‑building for inclusive and resilient democracies.
Format: 8‑month hybrid program (virtual + in‑person).
Programming: Futures visioning, innovation development, long‑term planning.
Support: Sessions with foresight experts, individualized mentorship, peer‑to‑peer exchange.
Outcome: Development of global innovation principles for community‑building, shared with the pro‑democracy field.
Funding: $10,000 USD in seed funding per project at conclusion.
Community: Invitation to join the Keseb Community for ongoing transnational collaboration.

Who can apply

Project must be early‑stage, nonpartisan, and not‑for‑profit.
Must align with theme: community‑building for inclusive and resilient democracies.
Project stages: idea stage, pilot (<2 years old), or post‑pilot redesign.
Project Lead must:
Spend meaningful time on the project.
Be proficient in English (full fluency not required).
Commit to virtual and in‑person Lab gatherings.
Strong emphasis on collaboration, knowledge‑sharing, and transnational learning.
