MESPOM is a two-year Erasmus Mundus Joint Master's in environmental sciences, policy and management run by four universities and coordinated by Central European University. Students spend the first year in Vienna and on the Greek island of Lesvos, take a summer internship, then study at Lund in Sweden or Manchester in the UK before writing a thesis. Applying by 7 January 2027 is the only way to be considered for the consortium's financial aid, which covers part of the tuition and pays living stipends. **What you get:** - Consideration for CEU and MESPOM Consortium financial aid, which the consortium describes as partial tuition waivers and living stipends, if you apply by 7 January 2027 - A joint Master's degree from four universities, plus an MSc from Central European University - Study in Vienna, Lesvos, and Lund or Manchester, with a supervised summer internship at a partner organisation **What you'll do:** - Fall and winter in Vienna at Central European University on environmental sustainability courses - Spring on Lesvos with the University of the Aegean on land, water and ecosystem management - A summer internship supervised by MESPOM faculty - A third semester on the Lund track (preventive environmental strategies) or the Manchester track (pollution and environmental control), then a thesis at a consortium partner **Key dates:** - Applications for financial aid close 7 January 2027, 23:59 Central European Time - Formal review results from 4 February 2027 - Final admission decisions from 4 April 2027 - Self-financing deadlines: 15 April 2027 for applicants who need a study visa, 15 July 2027 for EU/EEA and visa-free applicants - The programme runs for 24 months from the 2027 autumn term **More information:** - Participation fee: EUR 8,000 a year for EU and EEA citizens, EUR 18,000 a year for everyone else; financial aid reduces this but full tuition is not promised - Manchester track students pay an additional UK visa and health insurance cost of around EUR 3,000 - Applications go through Central European University's online system on behalf of the consortium
