About this opportunity

The FAN program supports high‑impact agrifood and foodtech startups to validate technologies, accelerate go‑to‑market readiness, and access European expertise, networks, and funding. Each startup joins one of six hubs, each focused on a theme shaping the future of food systems:

Munich, Germany – Smart & Low‑Carbon Supply Chains
Helsinki, Finland – Circular Solutions for Food Systems
Paris, France – Biotech Ingredients, Products & Processes
Warsaw, Poland – Future Resilient Agriculture
Catania, Italy – Water‑Smart Agrifood Systems
Wageningen, Netherlands – Digital & Autonomous Farming Solutions

€50,000 (1st place)

Who can apply

Must be a registered company established in an EU or Horizon Europe‑associated country (after 2016)
Must have a prototype or pilot project (TRL 4–8)
Must align with one of FAN’s themes
Must be pre‑Series A, with revenues up to €1M and ≤20 team members
Ideally have customer validation and traction (letters of support, sales, partnerships)
Entrepreneur
Running a project or organization
