BYP is a 5‑month hybrid program designed to accelerate green careers for underserved youth. Key features: - Training workshops (online): Communication, finance, digital engagement, climate solutions, and data tools for sustainability. - Mentorship & networking: Guidance from professionals in Canada’s green industries and policymakers; peer‑to‑peer networking. - Paid work experience: 3–6 month internships in green jobs (in‑person, remote, or hybrid). Employers receive subsidies up to $6,500 CAD to cover 50% of intern salaries. - Experiential Learning Weekend (in‑person): Group collaboration on sustainability challenges, networking, and community building. - Mentorship commitment: Mentors guide 2 participants, hosting 3 sessions between March–June 2026. Communities served: Indigenous youth (including northern territories), women, LGBTQ2+, newcomers, racialized communities, differently‑abled individuals, low‑income youth, and rural/remote communities.
