The Anna Lindh Foundation, a Euro-Mediterranean intergovernmental organisation based in Alexandria, is commissioning short policy briefs through its Knowledge for Action (K4A) programme. Selected authors write an evidence-based brief on one of twelve topics, from migration governance and youth participation to AI and the green transition, then host a public Academic Dialogue to share it. Who can apply

  • Be affiliated with a university, a think tank or a specialised centre
  • Be a national of one of the 43 member states of the Anna Lindh Foundation (the 27 EU states plus Albania, Algeria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, North Macedonia, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia and Turkiye, as listed on the application form)
  • One proposal per candidate; up to two co-authors may join the lead author
  • Concept note must be in English
  • Priority goes to applicants affiliated with members of an ALF National Civil Society Network, and to applicants not funded by K4A in the past two years
  • Gender, youth and geographical balance across Euro-Mediterranean sub-regions is taken into account in selection
