Looking for the main cause of a literacy problem
Mbui Ngeebi Patrick, an undergraduate at the University of Ghana, is researching the problem of literacy in basic schools in a community in the northern region of Ghana.
In a community in the northern region of Ghana, basic schools have a problem with literacy. Mbui Ngeebi Patrick is researching it. He is an undergraduate at the University of Ghana, and the research, he says, is meant to solve that problem in the community's basic schools.
The research is under way. He cares about the topic, he says, because many young individuals are school drop outs, and the problem has to be solved to build a better nation and better communities.

"I am eager to learn," he says. He wants to use his knowledge to bring the best out of himself, to help solve real world problems and to contribute to developing his community.
His next move is to help solve the problem of literacy among the young, "since the future is theirs." He hopes his findings will be helpful, by listing the main cause of the problem and the way forward.
