Greatwisdom Nwigwe is building The Student Growth Hub, a student led platform with over 16k LinkedIn followers across 43 countries, and is now preparing a comic to take into three public schools in Abuja.

Growth Beyond Grades ran for six weeks. Its first cohort was 30 students from Nigeria, Kenya, Zimbabwe, Cameroon and Bolivia, and the programme covered "mental resilience and wellbeing", leadership and communication, career readiness and employability, and personal growth. It was delivered in partnership with "Reboot Wellbeing & Empowerment Foundation".

It is one of the programmes of The Student Growth Hub, which Greatwisdom Nwigwe is building while at the University of Abuja. The Hub is a student led platform with over 16k followers across 43 countries on LinkedIn. "We help young people grow academically, personally, and professionally," he says.

There are two other partnerships. With Kryptr, the Hub introduced ELITE Campus, a three week virtual work experience programme whose first cohort was offered free of charge. With the National Student Research Institution, IMSU Chapter, it organised a three day Research and Scientific Writing Masterclass covering research fundamentals, scientific writing and the responsible use of artificial intelligence in academic writing.

Now he is preparing The Student Mindset Impact Campaign. The plan is to visit three public schools in underserved communities across Abuja, and to leave something behind rather than only give talks. "We are creating a Change Making and Career Guidance Comic," he says, one that tells relatable stories and introduces different career paths. Every student who takes part will receive a copy to take home.

"I have seen students transform when they are exposed to the right mindset and opportunities. I want to make sure that students in underserved schools have that same chance," he says.

That is still to come. The campaign is in the planning and partnership stage. The comic is being refined, volunteers are being engaged and the logistics for the school visits are being prepared. "There is still a lot to do before we can bring the project to life," he says.
