A Notion site for leaders who doubt themselves
Norma Gomez built Humanamente LÍDER, a Notion website of resources for young leaders who find it hard to see themselves as leaders, and it is now part of the Mexican organisation Juventudes Latentes.
An interactive first aid kit called "Emotional First Aid" sits on a Notion website, next to a mini-playlist music library. There are interactive and feedback activities too, and resources and reflections on maintaining emotional health and well-being on the leadership path. The website is Humanamente LÍDER. Norma built it because of a problem she describes in herself first.
Norma is in high school at Escuela Preparatoria Regional de Lagos de Moreno and is part of the Latin American Leadership Academy, LALA. "I have not always felt like a leader," she says. She often finds it difficult to recognise herself as one, or to appreciate her own achievements.
“Everything we believe in and everything we do has the power to transform the world, provided we feel truly inspired to make a change.”

That turned out to be common. "In LALA, I realized many agents of change live this reality and this problem is more common than we think," she says.
So she created the Notion website, where leaders can access resources that remind them that to fail, to doubt and to try again are part of the progress. Humanamente LÍDER also makes visible, on social media, the histories of young leaders who never gave up.
The initiative is now part of the Mexican organisation "Juventudes Latentes" (Latent Youth), to create strategic alliances with various youth leadership organisations and make the resources and tools she offers available to Mexican leaders. Its social media accounts publish opportunities and stories, plus advice and words of encouragement, and send people to the Notion website.
The resources are there, she says, to remind leaders that "fail, doubt and try again" is part of the progress.
She is working on a digital mini-book of stories and projects by young Mexican leaders, made with Juventudes Latentes, who are promoting it on 28 September. It will also be available on Notion.
