Selling baked goods and paintings to get to Guatemala

Adriana Elizondo, a student at the Academy for Global Citizenship, is selling her own baking and paintings to save for an eighth grade service learning trip to Guatemala.

Baked goods and paintings. That is what Adriana Elizondo sells, and the money has one purpose. "I am working on saving for my 8th grade service learning trip to Guatemala because so far I don't have the money," she says.

She is a student at the Academy for Global Citizenship. "This trip is important to me because I love experiencing new places and different ways of education," she says.

“Confidence is key”

The trip, she says, would benefit her education because she would get to experience cultures other than her own, "and get to learn how different cultures express themselves and their way of learning."

She has a YouTube channel, where she has posted a short, and no other social media. The saving continues.
