The WFP Innovation Accelerator and the Adaptation Fund are funding climate adaptation ventures in their third cohort, this one built around Latin America and the Caribbean. Who can apply

Your organisation must be an established legal entity: for profit, not for profit, social business, NGO or INGO
Your organisation must have a presence in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador or Peru, or be willing to establish one. A country office, subsidiary, long term operations, a pilot or formal partnerships all count
Your innovation must address at least one of the climate adaptation priority areas named in the call for applications for that country
Your innovation must be at least seed stage. Idea, research and early pre seed stage solutions are not eligible
Your innovation needs a clear pathway to scale, adequate resources and a realistic nine month implementation plan
You need a dedicated team to manage implementation, and at least one team member must be fully fluent in English
Only English submissions are accepted
Your innovation must fit WFP's Environmental and Social Sustainability Framework. Category A interventions are not eligible
You must be willing to work with humanitarian stakeholders and WFP country offices
Applicants cannot appear on the UN Security Council sanctions list, and must pass WFP operational and financial due diligence before funding is released
Solutions focused only on traditional food production, or that cannot show measurable impact, will not be funded
Registered legal entities: for profit companies, not for profits, social businesses, NGOs and INGOs.
Your innovation has to be at least seed stage, meaning a market ready product with early evidence of impact, and you need a presence in the Dominican Republic, El Salvador or Peru, or a willingness to establish one.
