Worth checking yourself

  • !A roster is not an offer. You go into a pool and a team has to pick you, so being accepted onto it does not guarantee a placement.
  • !The stipend is a contribution towards living costs, not a salary, and UNFPA does not publish the amount. It is reduced if you already receive funding from a university or government.
  • !You arrange and pay for your own accommodation, travel and medical insurance.
  • !You need to have completed at least one year of a first degree, or be on a postgraduate programme, or have graduated within the last year.
  • !You are not eligible if a parent, child or sibling works for UNFPA.
